Manual therapy

Manual therapy - the main method in the treatment of diseases of the musculoskeletal system. Manual therapy is not massage, but treatment with hands (from the Latin Manus - hand).  The chiropractor affects the human body comprehensively in order to restore the correct biomechanism of movements. The effect is not only on the musculoskeletal system (bones, muscles, joints, fascia and ligaments), but also on most other organs of the body, such as internal organs, brain membranes, skin, etc.

Types of manual therapy:
  • Trust techniques;
  • molligan mobilization;
  • traction techniques (pulling);
  • soft manual techniques:
    • PRM  (postisometric muscle relaxation);
    • methodology of balance and counter-retention;
    • myofascial release;
    • kauda-strain methodology.
  • manual therapy of internal organs;
  • osteopathy;
  • craniosacral therapy.

Specialists of our clinic successfully apply the most diverse methods of manual therapy of European and American schools. Our clinic has developed an author's technique for the treatment of the spine and joints - the technique of manual orthorelaxation.

Unfortunately, it is very often heard from general practitioners that manual therapy is contraindicated for some diseases, for example, herniated intervertebral disc. Based on our experience - more than 10 years of manual therapy practice we can confidently say that manual therapy has a huge number of techniques that can be safely used for disc herniation.
Only a doctor can determine which of the listed techniques will be the most effective for each specific patient, in what sequence and combination to use these methods, and the patient's task is to fully trust the specialist, relax and thereby ease the difficult work of the chiropractor.
